carb size

anyone know what the size of the carbs are on the sxr 700, and is boring them out a good or bad idea. . the sled is piped with peak heads ????

They are 33mm stock. You can bore them out but I see them bored mostly on a machine that is a big bore. Call Jeff at CPR his add is on top.

bigger carbs will give you more top end, especially with triple pipes, but if you go too big, you will loose lose low speed drivablility as not enough air goes through the carb to suck up the necessary gas for low speed operation.
