May be picking up a set of power inc pipes for my 01 srx. triple stingers on them. for those of you running power incs, how many sizes up on your main jets did you go? did you touch the needle?

I went up just a couple on the mains and pilots just to be safe. I am running really rich right now to be on the safe side though. I am currently running 152.5's and 155 pto. I am running 45 pilots too. Never touched the clip cause the midrange feels good. You could get away easily running 42.5's for pilots and 150's in the mains. With that said, this is a reference so start off rich and tune them for yourself.

okay, was curious as i currently have aaen triples on my sled, and went up 2 sizes and runs good. so wasn't sure if i could just swap the pipes and be safe. i can do few miles of wot and have been safe

If you are buying my pipes, here is what I ran, 152.5's, with 45 mains, and clip down 1 notch, they were a little rich but still ran good w/ no burn downs, by the way , still have in the garage, waiting for you or the other guys.

was thinking about it, but price is still too high for me. had a few members pm me about the pipes, and said not to run anything but stock, as even the power inc's on the dyno lost hp on a stock motor. hesitant about buying anything now until i can learn more or unless the price is decent

Not a true story what so ever, these are the only that make power on stk motor @8350. proven by many on here ans even Hauck said they make power.

well i've seen dyno sheets, the pipes in fact made the most power at 8300, but the peak hp was a 3 hp loss over stock. so with a hp loss and running a lower rpm, the jackshaft speed is slower, which is why stock still proves to be fastest turning more hp at 8500. i'm going the stock route. seen sheets, they dont lie...

do you have numbers for your stock motor vs just with those pipes on that dyno sheet? stock hp's on sleds varies so much your motor might have ran 148 horse with the stock pipes.

I don't have dyno sheets for my motor with and without the pipes but I said that with back to back testing at the same temperature and same conditions outside (1 hour swap), I ran faster top speeds with power inc over stock pipes including jetting changes. The RPM's increased 100 RPM on the big end by only swapping the pipes too. The midrange feels like it pulls harder with these pipes too and it is 18 pounds lighter. I don't know that I have ever seen a STOCK SRX dyno near 149 HP. They are normally 143-145 with stock pipes (00-02). The one thing you must make sure with these pipes is that you get them nice and hot. I love these pipes and they have a great tone to them as well.
