i just took apart both of my clutches. i also put the clutches in the dish washers and just ran hot water through them. i took them out and try them out by putting them together and i have some play with the clutch bushing on all my parts. theres also copper showing on some. can i run it or should i replace them all? can this also why im loosing top end?

The bushings should look copper colour when clean. If your revving close to 8500 rpm at wide open throttle look elsewhere for your missing mph.

should they have any play? and i rev to 8500 rpm so im loosing it some where else.

You'll feel some when its all apart, the shop manual just says to replace if they look worn or have cracks so I wouldn't sweat it too much.I replaced the rear one in my secondary on my high mileage sx-r and it was slightly tighter, but debateable at best.

Hard to measure, but it will have a little if the color is like Turk said and they look ok run it as yamaha does not give a spec.
