we have sled that runs very rich on the bottom end and burbles a lot,
can someone give me some pointers and also a good clutching combo
with the stock helix,I don`t think the customer wants to spend the money for a helix like on the set up found in the tech section on this website, I
am not to familliar on this size mill so all the help I can get will help me.
thank you . papi

Papi, if that sled is broken in, it's probably over revving by a lot. A simple spring change will make it run like what Yamaha tuned it to, that would be a start. Should be revving 8500 or so. Compare the stock spring (I forget off hand) to the others available listed on the tech page, and see which one would bring it back to optimum rpm.
Better figure out what's in there first, then post back. Good luck!

head gasket mod, and reed notches or spacer will take some of that away...but needle change may also fix that....

you don;t need to change them just adjust them, look in your owners manual, there is a needle in the carb with 5 settings on it and plastic spacers, by rasing the clip position (droping the needle int the carb) you lean out the mid range, I'd go up one clip on all cylinders
