Hi guys!
A few weeks ago I rebuilt my Viper with a new center cyl, all pistons and a new crank. It burned down due to overheating/low oil consumption and maybe also a hole in the gas hose to the center carb.
(I had the engine out of the frame to rebuild the waterpump and I dont think that I aired the systems well enough)
Anyway I adjusted the pump to spec on the rich side of the scale. Aired it properly, had the sled running, opened the bleed screw and then pulled the wire to the oilpump to get better flow to get all the air out.
But it still uses little oil, uses around 200ml on 20 liters of gas. Should be 400 on that amount of gas.
As far as I could see there was nothing wrong with the pump when I had it out.
What am I missing?
