removing cold air kit?

I am considering removeing the cold air kit and going back to stock jetting on my 02 SRX.Can I plug off the holes going through the gauge pod,reinstall the 3 holed air box plate that was removed and call it a day or do I need to get a new air box top where the extra holes were cut through?thanks-Harvey

anyway you can cover the holes should do it, even duct tape on the underside.
