Lightweight Lexan Hoods for SRX?

Has anyone ever owned a lexan hood? How did it hold up? I was thinking about buying one for my 98 srx 700, but the website says it will only fit the 00 srx. Do the 98 & 00 srx's have the same hoods?

srx hoods are all the same 98-02

I think there are some small differances in hoods from 98 to 2000

It looks like a pretty good deal... For $175 it drops about 10-11 lbs off the sled. I am also thinking about the bender silencer (9 lbs off) and i have a set of plp light weight trailing arms i have yet to put on.

weren't the triple pipe bulge slightly bigger on the 98 than 2000 due to different pipeing location

Double check the hood.. I purchased one and was told it would fit the SRX but it is not a good fit!! It was designed for the SX.. I had alot of cutting to get it on and it still looks bad.

I would call them and double check if they have a srx hood or not. Unless I misunderstand the add, it looks like they have the same hood for an srx and sx. The belly pans are shaped different, I can't see how the same hood would work for both sleds. The add says there is 3 inches extra clearance up front so maybe the srx pipes would clear, but like I said, I can't see how it would fit to the bellypan.

wow, thanks for the advise guys. I think i will just run the stock hood unless i can get some sort of guarantee. I am going to call them and see exactly what the deal is.
