Had an unfortunate need to tow my sled home and it appears that my throttle side spindle has twisted quite a bit. Nothing else looks bent and the mark is lined up with the steering arm so I am going to start there. Anybody have a good used one? Once I take the bolt out of the steering arm will it just drop out? Or will I need to pry the knurled cap off?
Thanks

You may have to do a bit of prying! By prying I mean were the split is on the top of the spline. Just open the split and it should drop down. We had one twist this year too. Major front end impact but it was the only damage. I was very surprised nothing else bent!

A friend has hit many things on his SXR-500 and he has gone through 3 spindles. They twis like crazy, but nothing else has ever bent. Buy a new one, lign up the dots and your good to go. I personally have never bent one, how did three is nutts. He hit a curb, a tree stump and a fireplace in a state park.
