Trouble after rebuild

Just finished a rebuild on a 97 vmax 600. It now has new pistons, ported, head gsket mod, PSI pipes, Boysen reeds along with stopper mod and MAX Performance cluth kit. Problem occurs after the throttle is cut.(like as you are going into a corner) Acceleration is great and will hold a speed with no problems. Get off the trottle and it acks as if the is a fuel loss. No throttle responce at all. Let the motor come back to an idle and it clears up. Goes like a raped ape until you get off the throttle again. Ive tried jetting changes with no affect. Plugs are perfect brown in color at idle and mid-range. Have not checked wide open yet. Im about to put the thicker head gasket back in to lessen the compression.Any thoughts.

Does it sound like the rev limiter which would be tors.

Could need more secondary wrap if it feels like its not shifting right.

check to see if you have some slack in the throttle cable. If you don't it will enable the TORS. I had the same problem and found my throttle cable was too tight after doing some repairs to my machine.

Sounds like the tors system. same happened to me on my 98 vmax. i would be going wide open then let off and hold er down again and it would just idel way down. Just unplug the wires and plug them into each other. problem solved :) fyi i suggest getting a tether cause otherwise if it gets stuck wide open say goodbye to that sled....

By passed the TORS. Problem disappeared. Spent many hours chasing this problem.Took some great advise and about 30 seconds to fix. Thanks Guys!!!

Try loosening your throttle cables a little and plugging in the tors to see if it will work ok.
