Throttle Cable End Thread

Can Anyone Tell Me What The Thread Is On The End Of The Throttle Cable? (2000 Sxr 700)
My Bracket Is Stripped So I Want To Cut A Nut So I Can Tighten One On The Top And The Bottom Of The Bracket.

I believe the threaded end of the SXR throttle cable is the same as the SRX cable. The thread size on the SRX throttle cable is an M8.0x1.0 thread (8.0 mm diameter with a 1.0 mm thread pitch).
