got to choose wheather to keep the 2000 srx, or 02 viper er, im kinda thinking the viper but if i keep the viper im gonna have to do some work cause im gonna miss the power of the srx. can a well set up viper be equal or surpass a well setup srx? have heard a well set up viper can beat a well set up srx, need some opinions. i dont mean to start any wars either guys. thanks, having hard time decideing myself.

VIPER WILL NEVER TOUCH A SRX UNLESS YOU START OFF BY ADDING TRIPLE PIPES TO YOUR VIPER. NO WAY I GIVE UP A 2000 SRX FOR A VIPER. 3:16 (yammie tony)

sell the viper and buy a cheap viper skid and put it in the SRX, problem solved. its hard to beat the srx power.

Stick with the SRX. Piped Vipers are gas guzzlers and tend to grenade sooner or later, no good for trail riding. I agree with Cumminsdsl, drop a viper skid in the SRX and be done with it.

i already have ohlins viper skid, and long travel ohlins fronts with 1.25 track, v-force reeds and spacers, good clutching with viper seat, and diffrent footgrips on the SRX. if i keep the viper would definitely tripple pipe and spend some time custom clutching and would keep my ohlins for it, i was thinking maybee the viper just cause its a little newer, alot less miles, really clean, had electric start and reverse, and for some reason(dont know why) always seemed a little more flat footed in the corners to me, dont rock up a ski as much as the srx. i myself always thought the srx was just about unbeatable, but vipers are no slouch and nobody around me has spent the time with one to try to make some power out of it so i dont know how good they can be, thats why im posting here. how much of a gss gussler would it be? think it would at least be close enough to keep me satisfied or am i stupid for even considering letting the srx go?

my thought was that it would be about the same thing but would be gaining the electric start, reverse, and flatter footing, also heard about timing, and porting diffrences that sounded better in the viper so i thought it may have more capabilitiy. maybee im just dreaming...

dont get me wrong, I love the handling of the srx just the way it is.

My viper with aaen pipes running rich to be safe got 6 to 7 mpg. I was just rich enough to not worry about it too, but it sure ran hard. Maxdlx
