I hit a rock this last weekend and smashed my belly pan in pretty bad. I had to pull my motor to pound out the pan. When i removed the motor the nut stripped on the electric start motor( i have a 2002 viper ER) (the nut that stripped was the one on the bolt that holds the lead to the battery) So I removed the electric start motor and the battery and the cables. When I put it back togeather and started it the gauge on the viper will come on and the tach will go all the way up and then back down and then go to the idle RPM just like always. Now it will go up and then all the way back down and it will just keep doing that over and over it wont display the MPH or or the fuel or anything. I checked all the connections that I could find and and it still does that over and over. Do I have to do anyhting different now that I unhooked the battery? Is the gauge not getting enough power now that the battery is unhooked? I dident think that it ran off the batt. to start with but i dont know I am stumped......

needs the battery to work. the non battery sleds have a smoothing condersor to make it work
