Just completely rebuilt my 91 Exciter then came across another with some issues. Running her til the end of the season then come summer the real work begins.
- Drop my engine in the new chasis
- looking for an M-10 suspension with a 1.25"x136" track
- widen the pogos to 40" (basically Vmax stance)

Widening of the skis is fairly simple but definitely time consuming. particularly making it aesthetically pleasing afterwards.
Im now considering merely converting to plastic skis from an RX1.

Widening the front tube puts more stress on the original tube than it was designed for. I saw one that was widened that was bent. It would be good to add a full width tube inside.
If you can find a junked TSS V-Max, you could cut the front crossmember from it and use that.

Yes, that is true !
Ie. from my instructions (see above link)
#10 - After welding completely around, take a piece of original frame and slit it lengthwise, pry it open and install it around the extension pipe to double the strength and weld in place.

has anyone actually installed an M-10 suspension in an Exciter/Phazer?
