Figured I would start a thread to see what everyone thinks how far they will go this year?

I am thinking gold all the way, sorry Canada!

It could happen.........this just could be the year!

Canada i belive is simply taken the Longo way to get to the match.C5 - us2 in the final.

Only reason Im rooting for the USA team this year is because of all the Michigander players(6) that are on the team. Any other time I root for Russia due to my nationality, which I hope they man handle Canada tonight. But its really anyones game cause theyre both stacked teams

Go Canada Go.....If Canada can play 3 periods like the first period in the last 2 games then US may be in trouble.

Congrats!

They won because they played like they wanted it. The USA team in O.T. not so much.

They did make it interesting in regulation.

ya for canada i guess? i dont usually watch hockey, but from what i saw the only skill you need is to skate, and plowing into opponents is not a skill, the rest is dumb luck, to me it looked like a hack fest, neither team made a drive passing the puck from player to player and got a goal with all the hooking, tripping, plowing,it was just the luck of when the puck ended up in front of a goal by chance, there may be a goal made. woohooo!!! pretty boring, cant beleive this is a sport, might aswell make dodgeball an olympic sport!! just my opinion! its like watching baseball or paint dry same thing,LOL

whoa man hockey takes A LOT of skill to play. have u ever put on a pair of skates and played with 9 other players competitively?? I cant even begin to explain how technical hockey is. those guys arent just plowing into opponents, theyre trying to biuld momentum etc etc. give em some credit. sounds like you dont understand the sport enough. Both teams were very strong. Im glad is was Canada 1, USA 2

Sorry, just MY OPINION... but that is some of the dumbest sh_t I have ever heard. Congradulations... here's your sign! #$%&*

Some people just prefer shuffleboard.
Posting how dumb you think something you clearly have no concept of, does nothing for you. If it was so bad why watch?
Oh and thanks for the sign, you're right we are #1!!! ;)!
Oh and for our American friends who appreciate the game... That was close! There really never was a point where I thought 1 team was playing better than the other. I think Canada actually got a little complacent early in the third period. It was pretty stressful for sure!

If you don't understand the game please don't comment on it,all that does is make you sound like a know it all trying to bluff their way through a subject they so obviously know nothing about.
And to comment on the game it was very entertaining and thrilling to watch a nail biter for sure. What a perfect way to finish off a gold medal game,in OT.Both teams deserve so much credit and it is unfortunate that only one of them can be awarded the gold medal.

The guys looked tired dog tired in the third!Cant blame them with the extra games played at the leval they had to play to win.

rooted for the u.s.a., of course, but good to see the red wing boys get their gold medal. congrats steve yzerman, ken holland, mike babcock; lots of pressure to put a winning team together for canada. great hockey tournament; canada deserved to win and it means so much to everyone up there. here in the states we don't know what entertaining sports are. nothing like a good hockey game at any level.
ps leave those canadian girls alone, they deserve to celebrate.

they should just make the player skate in circles around the ice for hours on end, that would probably entertain no1chevyboy more. what were they thinking of actualy having a point to the game.
sorry, just my opinion
Pat

I'm not much for watching hockey on TV, just too hard to follow sometimes. But that was a great game! It was well played by both teams, too bad the USA didn't win it. But anyway, Congrats Canada!
