I need some opinions on what exactly a "underhood harness" is. For example, if you were to buy a gauge pod, dual headlight, & underhood harness from someone, what harness would you expect to receive. Thanks for your input.
I would expect the short piece that goes from the headlights to the main harness connection of the complete wire harness.

yup, wiring for the tach, speedo, headlights, which travels down the hood and connects to the main harness...

yep what he said i would only get the short piece not the whole wiring harness. anybody that doesn't know the differancewould have to be a idiot the expect the whole complete harness.Spinner18 said:

I would think that is different than an underhood harness. Underhood harness to me would be the harness that runs along the speedo cable that is attached to the "underhood" and plugs into the body harness at the hood hinge.
An SRX wire harness is a bit vague but in my eyes would be the harness ( or more specifically, all of them minus componants) from ski tip to bumper.
Sucks about the misunderstanding and perhaps both of you could have been more specific, but if I were asking for an underhood harness, I'd expect to get the three foot harness that plugs into the main harness at the hood hinge.
