got new reeds and gaskets.Which way do you place the gaskets..with the bumpy side of gasket towards engine..I assume.Can I use a spray tack also on these,did it on the 600 when I replaced the reeds.And now I can see the curvatrure of the new reeds.The curve side goes down against the cage I gather for a better seal

found it in the service manual..Place gaskets with tap down left side..thus making the bumpy side go towards the motor....done deal

Shouldn't need any spray tack it could tear the gasket when removed thus rendering it useless for reuse.

used it anyways daman..it does not stick like epoxy .A lot of times the old gasket is squished to much for re-use to.If I have to replace gaskets every 3 to 5000 miles..that won't break the bank.
