I recently picked up a 98 700 SRX with the Ohlin’s shock package front and rear. Looking for directions on getting better weight transfer to the track for better traction? What is the procedure to lighten the spring load on the rear, as it seems to stiff for me @165 pounds. Has 192 studs and still has a hard time hooking up on the ice? Seems like there is too much weight on the skis. It seems to over steer as well. Which is another reason I think the rear is set up incorrectly? How do I get it to get up on the back of the track and hold the skis up a tad?

Any recommendations welcomed!

You probably don't need to do anything to the shocks. If you want more weight transfer lengthen your limiter straps all the way out and then move them back in accordingly until you reach the desired weight transfer.

I should add that this wont make it ride any softer but you should pull a wheelie or two especially with studs on the ice.

The best thing you can do for your sled is find a set of wieght transfer rods. I put a set of bender ones on years ago, was one of the best things I've done to the sled

adjust your fra on the rear shock. there are 3 settings ,the higher the softer, also a cheap transfer trick is to put thinner plastic washers in your transfer rods
