I have been using a product to improve th eheat transfer of cooling systems of my sleds and cycles. I used a 50% - 50% mixture of a silica-free antifreeze like Dex-Cool and distilled water and add a few ounces of Redline Products water wetter. The water wetter reduces the surface tension of the water allowing slightly better heat transfer between the metal parts and the coolant. This combination works very well for me, never have any overheating problems on any of my sleds or cycles. The 50-50 mixture provides ample freeze up protection for where I ride. The less antifreeze in the mixture the less heat transfer. I change the coolant in my sleds every other year to keep the system clean.

I use 1/2 bottle of redline watter wetter in my turbo rx1. Really brings down the temps.

I use it in my f350 diesel does lower towing temps , never thought about it in sleds im gonna try it, no snow so next year lol"

I believe the water wetter has a larger effect on cooling in smaller liquid cooled egines since the heat transfer are is proprotionally smaller therefore you need a more efficient system.

Water Wetter, Purple Ice, etc,etc they work best when used without antifreeze, both to inhibit corrosion and to improve heat transfer to the coolant.

BUT......that said there's absolutely NO reason to use it with a good quality 50/50 mix antifreeze, why? because todays antifreezes(ethylene or propylene glycol solutions) already have surface-tension reducers added in their formulations from the factory,WW has some inhibitors yes and while it may be compatible(sometimes can cause a scum with certain coolants) with most anti-freezes my self i don't like to run a cocktail of extra inhibitors in my cooling systems. If you ran it with straight water it might cool better yes, but ive never been "wowed" by it back when i tried it and researched it,if you think you need extra inhibitors witch you don't with todays quality coolants get a real inhibitor pack like Pencool 3000 or Cummins DCA4, inhibitor packs that are endorse by many OEs.

plus if the engine in question has a properly working t-stat(i know most yammies don't have one, just saying)it's going to regulate engine temperature with or without extra surfactants.

anyway just use a good quality low silica ethylene glycol at 50/50 and your golden.

just my $.02
