well we took both the SXR600 and my SRX700 for a ride today.We both had it pinned a lot today also and all is good.Just checked the usage of fluids on both sleds.I am truely amazed the SRX has gotten better gas mileage then last time out.Last time I burned 2 liters more then the SXR for the same mileage.Today we are both spot on equal in fuel usage,and the SRX has like 45 horses more... ;)! Came out be are getting 11 per gallon..I am happy.Maybe the new reeds I installed are making the difference..something is.
My oil ratio for the 600 is 45.45 to 1 and on the SRX is 38.46 to 1.Could cut back slightly on the oil cable fot he SRX.The SXR is perfect and ran better today my newphewsaid.Also the sleds both start easy now.The SXR fired in 1 pull this morning and the SRX fired in 2 pulls(a new record for the SRX)..maybe due to the new reeds again.
Re-clutched SRX a little different tonight and will see how she goes tomorrow.We are riding our azz's of because of the weather. ;)! :rofl: :rofl:
 

on another note,once sleds were brought back into the garage..I decided to check compression on both motors since they were still warm

Happy with those numbers for now.SXR has 12,500 km's on motor also,great running sled that one.Maybe the Blue marble I used in it has helped it alot.Now back on Shell and Yamilube for that sled.SRX is still drinking the expensive juice..intercepter!!!!
 
Taking the srx out with my new clutching tomorrow. I'm longtracked to 141 now with 23/39 gearing. I put those 8dn-20's you sold me Blue with 4.5, 4.5 with 1 gram washer in the tip. I put on a hauck 53/43 helix with a red spring at 70. So we'll see what it does. Trying to get rid of my overrev.
 
let me know,but since you are longtracked our results will be different.Different changes and different results.Hoping it will all work out for both of us.How much snow you got left therer?? Supposed to be basically 0 and 1 Celcius all week.....as long as it really doesn't melt to quick..should be ok for a while yet.
 
Sound like you guys had a fun day yesterday,, At about 3:20 on friday my boss asked if I wanted to work 8-12 on Sat. :o| Out of like 25 guys me and another guy came in and I got to work a machine that I need more practice on anyway. Did the SRX pull over 100 this time out?? Those compression # are pretty impressive considering the km!!!
 
Scott you should of called me and let me know.Gonna be a nice day today for riding.Daryl was gonna come out but just called and told me his back is screwed up.I wish he didn't play hockey as much..that is killing his back..not from sledding.
 
Yeah, I told my mom I would call at 8:30 but never did, sorry Doug. Hopefully all this snow doesn't melt this week. That would suck.

Our snow is still good here, I didn't have to change out my track from my 2" to my 1 1/4, lots of snow in the fields yet. But yea, Tuesday, Wed, Thurs it is supposed to be +1, probably going to start disappearing. I'm not sure where I'll be at with my clutching, I just tried to guess as good as I could where to start from all I could read here. Hopefully its close! I'll let you know. Headed out right now so I can be back before the hockey game. Have a good ride today.
 
had a great day today..sled ran perfect.I even raced 2 planes on the river that were cruising about my head hieght.Past the 1st one and was catching the 2nd one..but corner was coming up and couldn't take it at 100.
