Hey everyone i need help. I am giving up trying to figure out what's up with my SRX and am going to break down and take to someone smarter than me.
Looking for recommendations, as i have not needed to get a yamaha service here before.
thanks in advance.

Why not just post the symptons here and let the TY team work with you to get it running fine again?? The TY team does a terrific job of helping solve problems.
Let us know what is the problem.....I know of a few pretty good service places if you need to...But I'm sure we can figure it out....
Call me if you need anything.....

I'm not real mechanically inclined, but this site has walked me through a few of my issues. But for the stuff that's been over my head, I've had really good luck with Tousley in White Bear Lake. I've had both my four-wheeler and my sled in there at different times. Had the issues fixed very quickly, and were very reasonable.
Nick,
thanks for the offer, when is a good time to call you.

Anytime....

tousley has the highest prices for oem parts out of anyone. Just check some microfiches. They are outrages. jmo century will match the lowest price you can find on the web. You just have to print out the price list you find and bring it in.
i would be happy to come over and trouble shoot also. Im laid off so i got lots of free time. Let me know Im on the east side of st paul.
i think i will take you up on the offer. I will just need to find a time to bring over the sled. a little background. i got the sled from a coworker that didn't know anything about sleds and he was given it by a friend, so i don't really know any background on it. It starts just fine, but seems to have a miss when you give it throttle. I have replaced 2 of the power valves and the reed valves seem fine now. I have had to replace them twice on the left cylinder, not sure why. 120 compression across cleaned carbs and had Heinen's clean them, so they should be good.
what do you think the best thing to do would be?

With that description and your admitted limited knowledge I'd start my making sure the throttle cable is adjusted properly. If it's too tight it will cause the TORS system to active and it will definitely "seem to have a miss when you give it throttle" as it won't rev over about 3000rpm.
the TORS has been bypassed. And it will rev to around 6000, however once in a while it will go to 8500 and hold. When you let off the throttle and then hit it again it won't go past 6000 again and sounds like it is missing sometimes on a cylinder?
check the reeds
