Spent the weekend in Price Co. Wi. Temps where in the upper 20s, lower 30s.
My 2004 Viper S Ran great until we hit the lakes.
If I nailed the throttle, the sled would climb to 75 or 80 and kind of bog with a sound as if a plug had fouled. If I eased the throttle, and gradually re applied it, I would see 95-98 on the happy meter.
The next morning when condtions were cool, I could nail the throttle and see 100, once the temps, warmed back up, the situation described above returned.
I can not recall ever seeing this happen in the past, even if the temp was warm the Viper would climb rapidly to whatever spped it was going to top out at.
Additinal information: the carbs and valves were gone through before the season. I run premium gas. The sled now has 6400 miles on it, 6100 going into the weekend, 5000 miles when all of the pre season work was done. Engine is stock.
Any ideas as to what is going on? Reeds? Carbs? Temp?
Thanks 2datrl
