I have been thinking of adding some lights under my hood to shine out through my vents. However i'm still not sure what to use. I know some people on here did this, so just looking for some advice. I was looking at a set of bllue neon lights. But am wondering what the difference between neon and LED. Also, wondering how to set them up. I heard of running them from a seperate battery in the trunk, but not sure if i want to put a big atv battery in the back since i usually carry stuff in it. So wondering what else is out there to run these off of. Don't really want to mess with the electrical on the sled now. So any imput on this would be great.

LED's us a lot less power and typically wire right up to your power source. That is what I use. Real neon has to be run off a transformer and be incased in plastic, as neon uses glass tube instead of plastic.

What's a good source to tap into under the hood etc.? I have the tape LED's from auto zone.

At the moment I can not remember what wire I hooked into, might have used a bulb wire going to one of the gauges. The fuse is located just behind the gauges and the on-off switch is mounted between the gauges on top of the gauge pod.
