Oil consumpsion 600 twin vs 700 tripple

Did a long ride Sunday. I dont think I ever rode 200 miles in one day. My 98 700 got the oil light on at 180 miles and was almost 2 quarts down. My 600 took less than a quart and a half but used 6 more gallons of gas. Does this sound right. I just switched to Citco Sea and snow oil this trip and I actually could smell a difference? I weight twice what my son does and he was riding the 600 but we were both riding hard. Oil usage using oil

Depends on allot of factors,trail conditions,oil pump setting,your thumb,jetting,oil,etc,etc on what a sled will use,try a search on oil pumps,oil usage lost of posts on this stuff.
