Our day at Rib Lake, WI:
NOSPro and I started out having some fun on the lake racing around trying to get some miles on the new 05 RX1’s. Most of the normal 1st ice people where already at the lake making some runs on there RX1s along with a bunch of guys ripen around on their ice quads. BanditsSRX (Rock) was there with his 2 RX1’s, one very well tuned 03 and one 03 Simon CPR Turbo. As me and NOSPro were pulling our sleds to the lake he just came back with the turbo sled and gun to take some pictures of his run 137mph in a little less then ½ mile. Rock asked me if I would like to take the turbo sled for a try and without hesitation I jumped on. On low boost I took of very easy on the gas….hang on…WOW that thing pulled like a freight train …its unreal how smooth the power delivery is. Once I rounded the far side of the lake. I stopped the sled , looked for my line and taped her to the bar……holy $#*@ it was like having a rocket strapped to my butt. I hung on and in less then ½ mile I was seeing 154 mph on the speedo….awesome.
I though it would be nice to capture some of these speeds on some well tuned RX1 on video with the radar gun. The following videos will be Rocks brother Steve coming through at 116 ish and then Rock on his at 118 ish and then the RX1 Turbo at 138 mph…..you have to look really careful it is kind of dark and I will try to get some better vid next week at Rib Lake. I would have had the turbo come thru a 2nd time but he ripped the slides up good on that last run.
NOSPro had some glitches with his NOS system so I am hoping next week we can show you some NOS sleds and speeds. Terry did come through the gun on his stock RX1 at 112 mph, I came thru with 111 mph and Rock drove my RX1 thru the gun at 113 mph with only 26 miles on the sled and reverse…not bad speeds for stockers.
I will also link you to the ATV section; I have a few videos of Rocks son Corey racing with some of his ATV buds on the lake.

All in all, what a great day on the ice. If anyone would like to join us next week at Rib Lake WI, please do. It’s a great time. Arrive anytime after 10 and usually pull off the lake before the sunsets.
Videos are a little dark on the gun but I will get that better next week:

I will take your word on the gun but I cant seem to read it at all. It is just all black to me. Awsome vids though, sounds like you had a blast. The fastest run I got with my srx last year was 117. 121.8 is huge great job

Dumb question, but how thick is that ice? I think I'd be a little nervous out there.
EDIT: You people are nuts!!! No way I'd be standing that close to a sled going that fast! In that third video, the radar gun is way too close for my comfort.
I must be the worlds biggest chicken or something.

Well done,How where your sliders after those high speed runs, were the melted???
Not melted at all, there was only a little bit of snow but nice and wet...perfect to cool them down after the runs
