running 95 in 1000' means. I didn't run, but my buddy ran that on his all trail 98 xc 700 (144 studs in middle). I got a chance to ride it, well, for me it was a night and day difference from my sx700. The XC hooked well, mine does not. I want the same feeling I got from the XC.

I would like a very aggressive clutch setup for my sled, my sx is all stock with the exception of bored silencer. I will add studs as needed. I would like the setup to be as that of a sled that has decent traction. AKA 144 in the middle.

Thank you...

Might I add, I know what hooking is all about. I have driven a 10.2 car down the track, went 1.38 60'. Pretty much dead hooked.
Would like my sled to have that type of hookup. The XC that I rode pretty much dead hooked. That's what I'd like.

"95 in a 1000" is 95 MPH in 1000 ft. I have a totaly stock 99 SRX 700. Has 144 studs in track. It beats my brothers pretty much stock 700 xc thats studded in a race, but he gets out of the hole better than I do on the launch. I think the studs would help alot.

Go to the tech pages and find Turk's clutch setups for your sled. Use the aggressive trail or one of the race setups and you won't be dissappointed. Also follow his gearing and jetting. Doing the head gasket mod will also help but, when I did mine I ordered new, thinner gaskets from Cometic because I wanted the piece of mind that goes along with using new gaskets instead of "creating" gaskets by tearing the old ones apart.

My buddy had a 98 xc, I couldnt ever beat him till I piped and clutched my sx! I put 8ca clutch weights in with a 51/43 helix, reed spacers and TRANSFER RODS! 192 picks, Then it was a smoke job! After that he never touched me again, even after he piped it!
