Hi,

Sorry for the stupid question, but does the Viper speedo go to 3-digits or 100+mph? I ask because I had mine going 99, which seemed to fill up the display, and I felt like I had it going faster, but the display stayed at 99.

Thanks!!

Yes, they do - My 2002 read 127 mph once. With slippage and optimistic calibration there is usually a significant discrepancy with real speed.

Unless conditions are really bad a stock Viper will read triple digits in less than a mile.

I would check your clutches, belt, and power valves out.

the leading cause of a viper not showing over 100 is , powervalves stuck or cables pulled through or someone installed a track and never cut the lugs for the tunnel protectors

Thanks for the responses. There's nothing wrong with the sled. I was on a lake and did not have it at full throttle.

I had my speedo show 157 km (97mph) but that was only once and before any mods. I have never been able to make that happen again.
