I had to pull the motor on my 2002 viper to fix the belly pan because I hit a rock. It went back togeather good except now it idles weird as if the timing is off. The gauge says it is idling at 1800 rpms same as before except now it just dosent sound right. It also sucks gas like no other. Ihave checked all electrical connections that I can find and everything seems to be hooked up. Could this just be a dirty carb that got bumped around when I had the motor out? Or mabe a cracked or ripped fuel or vacuum line somewhere?
If you are sucking air into the motor through a line or seal that may be causing your issue. You can find the problem easily by starting the sled and spraying brake cleaner on the lines and seals. If any of them are sucking air in the idle rpm or quality of the idle will change noticably.
