I am not sure which way to go, small wheel kit or replace the four front idler wheels with larger diameter wheels to help reduce hyfax wear.....comments.............Reaper

I have both on my srx.I think the biger wheels helped out more than the marginal wheel kit.

i just ordered pioneer performances idler relocation kit. i relocates the idlers 2.5mm lower, making your stock idlers act like they are 5mm larger in diameter. you get to use the stock brgs and idlers so no chance for cheap bearing or idlers failing. it is pricey but you get the piece of mind of fewer failures. ski

Atlas, did you use the Doo 5.375" wheels or the Poo 5.350" wheels, and did you use the "Pro Colour" wheels..........Reaper

maxx performance has all the wheels you need, they have the larger wheels that you replace all yours with. they also sell the marginal snow wheels too.

I used the Doo 5.380 wheels.I got them from a Doo dealer.I looked but couldnt find the part number in my stuff. They are all black like the factory wheels are.I only changed the front four.

The Maxx wheel kit is only 5mm oversize where the Skidoo wheels are about 10mm oversize. You get twice the distance by useing the Doo or Polaris wheels over Maxxs or Pioneers kit.My hifax wore down about half way last year and it seemed to complaetly stop wearing after that.I also use Benders wheel kit that bolts over the cross shaft bolt but i think the wheels made more of a diferance.I think you might be able to use Polaris 5.690 wheels also but the space between the wheels would be close. If you know someone that has those size of wheels and would let you try them you might want to and see if they would fit.I wouldnt buy them without knowing for sure they would work.

Atlas, you seem to be the only one using Doo wheels, most guys i have talk to never considered using Doo wheels(5.750"), so in your opinion the extra length does not hurt?..........Reaper
