I'm seriously contemplating this mod over the summer but am unsure what guys have found the best course of action to take.I know rail extensions will be the easiest thing to do but are the skid mounting points the same from a 121 to a 136?Do extensions work as well or should I source out a 136 and re mount the skid in the tunnel?I hate to drill a bunch of unnecessary holes if I don't need to.

Go to a 136 skid. Rail extensions just make a rough handling suspension even worse, due to the fact that you are now loading the rear mounting points from 8" further back. you move the leverage point but don't move the rear mount location. I went to a 136 mountain cat -A/C skid & would never go back to a proaction.

I have something like 5800 miles on tracks usa rail extensions and they have been great.I have a fast m-10 and they told me that the mounting points in the tunnel stay the same between 121" and 136".I'm not sure about other skidframes though.Last I looked Tracks Usa had some new 136" polaris skidframes for 500 bucks I believe.

I no longer have the Pro Action skid in the chassis as I have switched it out for an SC10 II so that's what I'd be lengthening and Ottawaair has basically brought up the one point I was wondering about, loading the rear mount point with a longer rail. Many guys have done this and I just wonder what they have found to be pros or cons of rail extensions.
