Just got a 00 SRX 700 made a gear change and was wondering how to set the chain tension, cant remember turn adjuster as far as possible with fingers then back off 1/8 of a turn? i think thats how but cant remember

Their are different opinions on this topic. I back off 1/8 to obtain slack in the chain. Otherwise it feels banjo tight if I don't back off. I also use trans fluid. Never a problem. Please read DISCLAIMER.
