I am thinking of picking up some kind of powder coater, that I can use in the garage. It will just be used for small parts for atv's, snowmobiles, maybe even something small from the truck or race car too. I can get a used oven for very cheap or even free, so that is not a problem. I also plan on picking up a cabinet sand blaster probably.

I am looking into something along these lines.....what do you think? Will they work for what I want, or will they be junk and not work very well? Any one have any experience using any of these? Amatosrx, what do you use, do you have a professional set-up? Thanks.

the one with the hopper on top does not work well, it spits out globs.
i have used the one from EASTMAN , around $150 and it works fine
Eastman is a retoration supplier

I am thinking about setting up a samll powdercoating operation myself. I have a sandblaster and usually sandblast all my parts before bringing them to a local and somewhat unreliable powdercoating outfit. An old kitchen oven is easy to come by and will handle 90% of my parts. The Eastwood company has a good reputation. If I go this route, I plan on applying the powder outside so I don't fill up the shop with powder and I don't have the room or money to setup a powder collection unit.

I use products from eastwood and like the quality. I started with a home oven worked good I now have a 6 foot stainless convection oven forced skyrocketing unit for big items. Call me for more help 616_822_0606
