During my first sledding trip this year, my 2000 SRX was difficult to start when cold. It would take 10 pulls on the starter cord to get it to fire. I realized that perhaps the enrichener cable was not adjusted correctly. I disconnected the enrichener cable when I cleaned the carbs. I adjusted to enrichener cable to the spec. 0.5 to 1.0 MM of free play. After adjusting the free play to about 0.75 MM the sled returned to starting on the third pull. You want to make sure there is some play left in the cable or else you run the risk of not having the enrichener ports closing and you'll run VERY rich. This is an easy adjustment to make (and overlook like I did!!!).
