Many Thanks to all of the terrific people on this site who have given me advice and shared their knowledge with me on the SRX sled. My SRX has never performed as well as it did this year even though it has many miles on it. My knowledge on Yamaha sleds continues to grow due to the willingness of the people on this excellent site willing to share information and help each other out. THANKS!!!!

Rx1

I don't know about Jim but I have an 01 SRX 780 with an Expert X and BLT kit with Ohlins and a 04 RX1 Warrior with Ohlin M10 and Ohlins up front. If I could only have one it would be the SRX hands down for me. The RX1 is a nice sled for groomed trails only IMO. With the set up I have in it. It is the ultimate groomed trail cruiser. But it is a big heavy machine and will wear you out. I liked the 136 in the Warrior enough to stretch my SRX to 136. It makes a world of difference. Here is a pic of each. Dave

Red, I like riding the RX1 very much. The riding position is more comfortable for me (6' 3" tall). I have made a few mods to the RX1 such as a clutch kit and frnt suspension improvements which has greatly improved the ride and the fun factor. On both trips this year I would switch between the SRX andthe RX1, they are both a blast to ride. The SRX is more fun to ride, better handling, much lighter feel. . My son is taller than me and likes the ride of the RX1 better so next year he wants to ride nly the RX1 so for long trips I'll be looking for a 2005 RX1, Warrior or 2006 Apex. My favorite all time sled is my 2000 SRX, I have logged 12,500 miles on it and set my all-time record for the most miles ridden in one day, 450 miles, on the SRX.
