What/where do people shop for to put on a taller handle bar riser. I'm looking for longer throttle/brake lines for a Viper. I've thought I've read that you can use a Mountain Max or is it a Mountain Viper's cables and that should give you adequate clearance for a 3" riser. If that is true, what years will bolt to a 02 Viper.
Any suggestions appreciated.

I put the 2" ROX pivot riser on my 03' Viper without having to change any of the cables. They were plenty long. 3" you might need extensions. I'm sure someone will chime in.
03 mountain viper cable and brake line are longer and will work on your sled. 04 and 05 viper cable and brake line are different. I made a 05 cable work, but the brake line has 2 banjo ends instead of a fitting and a banjo like on my sled. I bought a longer aftermarket hose to fit. I'm not sure how long the mountain max cable and brake line are compared to your viper.
mountain viper, but only 03 will work with your sled.
rsi makes all three, you could use a 6-8in riser
If you re-route the lines slightly you can get away with running a descent size riser without having to extend anything. I am running a 7" riser along with a pivot adopter that adds at least another 1.5". My bars are a straight bar, but I know they are a few inches taller than stock. Perhaps 4"?

What kind of length can I obtain if I go with the Mountain Viper cables. More precisely how much longer are the Mountain Cables?
I assume I have to change the oil, throttle, and the brake line too.
Thanks for the replies.

mtn viper bars are around 8" tall. compare that with your bar heigth now for a comparison. with creative routing, you should have ample length on the cables. dont know about the short track viper from first hand, i have not personally done one, but for comparison, adding a 3" rise to a mtn viper, 5" rise to a mtn max, and mtn viper bars with a 4" pivot on an srx, the cables were plenty long enough. get the oil cable while your at it. stay away from rsi on the oil cable at least. most people have had nothing but problems adjusting the oil pump using their cables. i would however compare pricing on the braided brake hoses.
Thanks for all the help and replies. I have all four cables/hoses from an "03 Mountain Viper being sent to me from a seller on this site.
Thanks again.
