how can you tell if the motor is the original? thanks

On a car or truck I believe a portion of the vin number will be the same.I remember people decoding the vin's on old cars, especially collectible ones were the originality can make a huge difference.Not positive on a sled, but probably similar maybe a dealer could verify this???

i'm pretty sure you're right swede, my attak had similiar #s both in vin and engine number
