I want to put a 144 Mountain Cat skid in my 2000 srx. The previous owner moved the stock skid back 4 inches and dropped it 2 inches on the back(with plates) and then used extensions to get to 144(Hartman Kit) I believe the distance between mounting points for the cat is 31.5 inches. The SRX is 31.5 inches from the original front mounting hole to the aftermarket drop plate that is already installed. Looks like the cat skid might bolt right in. Question: Will it fit or is the front stock mounting hole to close for Cat rails? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

You will have to find out the distance from the center of the drive shaft to the center of the front mounting hole of the sled the cat skid came from. Also, I would double check the center to center distance of the two mounting holes to be certain that it is 31.5 on the cat tunnel. My c to c was only 23 3/4, but its not a Mt Cat skid, its a 121".My front mounting hole was only about 10" inches back from the center of the drive shaft.
Do yourself a favor, do your homework before drilling new holes.Check this link to see how I did my cat skid install, but remember its a 121" skid.http://www.totallyamaha.net/forums/showthread.php?t=25539
Good luck, Sno

I am also looking to put a 144 cat skid in my srx. If you come up with measurements and figure out the best way to make it fit, please post in future it would be great help. What track you think you are gonna run once you get the skid in?
