99 srx with dual headlight

I did a search but curious...

I was reading about ppl putting a 35w - 35w bulbs over the stock 55w - 55w that the 00-02 has...

can you leave the 98-99 srx's untouched and use the 00+ headlighgt set up with the 35w - 35w bulbs and no troubles?
