this is for the been there done that crowd on purchasing a m-10 and installing on my srx . after looking back and spending the money would you say it was money well spent ...or would you suggest waiting for another year and picking up a second sled for the rough march snowmobiling and keeping srx for the smooth earlier days of the season ... thanks so much .
i know this has been a much talked about debate but i am just wondering opinions on people that have done it and whether they still ended upgrading to a different sled . i am thinking i would be better off waiting for a good deal on a newer apex in a year or two . but on the other side it is always cool to have something different than everybody else . thanks again .

i love my M10 in my srx it was not as good around the corners but it was still faster than all my buddies in the tight stuff. they say you loose top end with the M10 but i never seen it. looking back it was a great idea and i would do it again and not think twice about it. I don't use the sled as a trail sled any more but here is a pick so you can get an idea of what it would look like.

well that is quite a sled .... thanks for the response . once the back was done you should match the front shortly after ? what did you do to the front of yours ? was out on the weekend and had to let the boys drive away because the trails were so rough . that just does not sit well . of course their machines were newer revs but it still sucks . i am looking at an 05 vector right now but do not know much about them .... i am an aggressive trail rider and do not know how they handle . great pictures .... great looking sled .

Thank you, The sled handled real close to stock with a way better ride under your butt. the front end was not the best but the ohlins shocks help a lot. you will be way quicker through rough trails than a 05 vector i think it sits on the pro active skid. great skid but an M10 will eat the bumps for lunch where you will be feeling it more on a vector. don't get me wrong on a vector you will be staying with them it is a great sled.
The front of my sled when it was blue was a full SXR skid with 08 Phazer fox floats. right now it is full light wight trailing arms are sno-tek Rods are CB performance and i have mountain performance spindles. i put it together out of used parts I found online.

I have a M-10 in my VIPER and love that thing!!!
It does ride better then my friends Rev 800...
It handles great and the bumps just seem to disappear..
I wish that I had another one to put under my 96 V-max XT, You ride that for a day in the trails and you kinda beat up.. The VIPER you ride all day and feel no pain at all...It's well worth every penny!!!

great guys ... thanks . found a used m-10 (newer style) and a used front end off of a viper looking at around 1600-1700 installed for everything . is the viper front end my best option or should i look for something else ?
you cant use viper front rods or shocks on your srx, there is more to it than that
I have long traveled many srxes in different forms depending on the money your looking to spend,
