How much rotational play is typical in a secondary on a sled with reverse?
Last time I rode I noticed if I broke to a stop then accelerated again there was a loud clunk. I first thought the chain tension might need to be adjusted but I found it to be finger tight.
With the belt removed I get about 10-15 degrees of rotation is this normal?
This same trip I also had an issue with the Viper not responding to throttle input after slowing down. I would run at 50ish and then let off, for instance coasting down a hill, when I tried to pick up the throttle again, nothing, didn't matter if I pinned it or eased into it. Then once at a complete stop the idle would drop to like 500 and pick up again to 1800 and I could accelerate normally.
Sometimes when coasting I would use the brake and it felt like it didn't do anything.
Any ideas on where in the drivetrain I should be looking?
I took the chaincase apart and everything appeared normal, no metal in the case or fluid, chain properly tensioned.
Looking for some ideas.
Thanks,
Al

The secondary rotation sounds normal to me as both my Apex and my cousin's Mountain Max are the same way. And not sure about your other issue.
