awsome looking, looks good all polished up. nice setup on the air filter. curiouse about how it mounts though, does it just kinda float there on top of the carb boots or is it mounted down? cant really tell from pics if anything is on the backside.
if you do any air mods to your sled you will have to rejet for it or wil lean out and blow the motor. it will also create alot more howling noise that can get annoying to some people during trail riding.

The rubber boots you see there are mounted directly to the carb flanges. I am going to incorporate a supporting plate on there but it is very rigid sitting in there right now. No testing has been done with it yet but that will begin shortly to figure out the jetting and performance gains.
The reason I designed it to all be one piece is because I have heard the individual filters can be very touchy with jetting and vary a large amount from one carb to another.

Thank you very much, hopefully we can get the sled together and do some testing to figure out jetting and performance gains.
Just noticing something here, do you have to lift the hood everytime you won't to start it? Is the handle right on the recoil? Purpose?

No, the belt drive system we run on the sled is not in it at the time so the pull start is just relaxing at the housing. It is in the normal location once the belt drive system goes back in

Looks nice, but the engine may not like a long runner like that. The carb pulls air from around the outer edge of the bell mouth, shorter rounder the better hp

Yes, some testing still needs to be done with it such as shortening the distance from the filter to the carb. Time will tell on performance gains...
