Just finished washing my sled and fogging the engine. Thought I would take some pics while its out. I still have quite a bit of work to do on it this summer though.
Ended the season with this mileage

Currently the engine is blown, not sure what happened. Still has 120 psi on the bad cylinder so i'm thinking it was a bearing that went. It never seized though just closed the plug gap with debris. So i'm going to part it out slowly over the summer but transfer most of the custom parts to my 02 srx. I really miss the sx though, the stock srx doesn't compare at all performance or handling wise. The sx was way faster on the trail and lake, hard to believe.

Ended up going with a 144" with 1.5" lugs and tipped up rails.

Which 1.5" did you end up using and how did you like it? I'm going to put a 144" on and I'm looking for some direction there.

The seat was pretty easy to install, all i did was drill new mounting holes in the tunnel and added a support plate. Then i held the front of the seat down with velcro.tippmannator said:where did you get the seat cover and what mods did it take for the actuall seat install? look awsome!
The seat cover I made myself but un-stitching the old orange part and tracing out onto my old yamaha seat cover. I then sewed the blue yamaha parts back onto the old polaris black parts on the top and bottom.
This seat is for sale, looking for a boss seat just for the storage capacity.
I ended up using the camoplast crossover and it worked fairly well but it didn't seem to hook up as well as my old cobra on the trails. However the crossover was a lot faster and had much less rolling resistance but this could be because it was fully clipped where as the cobra was clipped every third.sleddineinar said:Which 1.5" did you end up using and how did you like it? But overall it is a nice track and is great in the deeper loose snow, it just seemed to spin a bit on harder snow on the trails.

Your SRX must be sick. It doesn't make sense that a sled with 25 more hp would be slower.

I think it is, I bought it half way through the season and didn't have time to go through it so who knows whats wrong in there. I'm going to tweak the clutching and adjust/clean the pv's and completely tear it down, so I hope I find something.

What happened to the boss seat you bought from me?
