We need more details in order to help you.
Is your motor case ported? What is the compression ratio? Are you running the 835 pipes? What year of a Mach Z are those carbs from? What needle jets are inside of them? What needles?

w/.47 squish you should run about 25% c-12 & 75% hi octane pump gas.
summer jetting w/ K&N filters or gutted air box w/ top cut out:
mains: summer-390 all; winter 470 all
needle: 8ADY-1; middle clip
needle jet: O-2
pilots: 40 all
the flipper has a shorter throw w/ the 38's so watch the oil cable adjustment!!

On the grass.....run heel clickers. Good luck with the testing.
not on the grass, gave that up back in 02' only asphalt (bracket racing) nothing heads up. wuz hoping not to have to "test" to be faster than the OTHER brands. at least start with something that works well with what i have. I am not sponcered by anyone, i dont have anyone giving me parts. my sponcers are you guys !!!!!!

What distance? I'd still run heel clickers, with OEM springs, and probably in the neighborhood of a 53/43 helix, pretty stiff in the secondary.
1320. for stiff in secordary, i have a hauck silver, or a bender red. i usually wrap the silver to 80 ???? up front i have either a heelclicker red or a hauck orange. they are calling for rain here on saturday. %^&* first day of test and tune at our track

Wrap it no further than 70 degrees on the stiffer springs. Stay away from the long heelclicker springs.
