I just had the fire department leave my house.
I had a fire in my dryer but the fire burnt the washer as well I had the fire out before the fire department showed up but its amazing how fast it will destroy things.
So I'm looking for a washer and dryer cheap if not free here in Maine.

Plug in the wall shorted out and ignited what little lint there was on the wall and inside the dryer housing, that in turn lit the vent tube and burned the wiring for the washer. As I said in my previous post I had it out before the fire department showed up.
Fire department stayed and vented out the smoke and went through the house with a thermal imaging camera to make sure there were no hot spots in the walls.
THANK GOD for smoke detectors and a $9.99 Fire extinguisher from Wal-Mart.
The only damage is a burn mark on the wall and some burnt rug.
My hat is off to all of you that are in public service.

Thanks for the help guys but the code inforcement officer and insurance lady came by today to check out the damage.
I have to complety gut the downstairs and have someone intall all new wiring because the wiring is not to code, because of that the insurance company will not pay for the repairs.
