98 SRX Secondary springs

Hey guys, I'm still attached to my sled like a fat kid on a smartie..
Here are two pics of my secondary spring and helix.
The spring looks new although it has a pink spot instead of red....should it be more red...or is this the right colour for a stock spring.
Also, I'm looking at the numbers on the helix and the spring is poking through the #3 hole. I want to return the secondary to stock..is this the right #?
FYI, in looking at my primary clutch, the spring had next to no paint left on it and the secondary looks new? I just bought the sled and am getting it ready for next year.
Did a compression test and it;s 140 - 140- 140 on a rebuild.
Will follow up with carb questions later.

That is a red spring, looks like pink but thats normal. You have the stock helix. The #3 hole is right, the spring should be in #3 at both ends 3+3x10=60degrees preload(stock secondary setting). If you look at the other end of the spring the holes are marked 1,2 and 3. Your primary spring should be marked green-green-green.
 
THE PINK SPRING IS STOCK SPRING IN SOME OF THE NEW 4 STROKES. AND REALLY LOOKS PINK. UNLESS I AM COLORED BLIND, THATS RED. THE CORRECT COLOR. 3:16 (yammie tony)
 
Thanks guys, it looks pink to me, but I'm replacing it anyway.
As far as the primary spring goes, I'm rebuilding that one now too.
That spring does look g-g-g but not much paint left.
I'm getting it replaced and rebuilding a second clutch to play with.
I actually want to go with the stock 00-02 primary.
Is that one y-w-y and 8DN-20 weights?
 
That will work, and springs are cheep,too keep clutch in a good performance mode....
 
It looks like you have grease on your helix, clean that away, clutches are suposed to run clean.
 
Yes,, that will make your plastic buttons sticky and collect dirt particles causing wear & grooves to be cut on the ramps of your helix... Good eye swede srx...
 
Thanks guys, I put that grease on there thinking it was a good idea....It'll be off tonight!
got my clutch springs and rollers yesterday...things are coming together.
