Also does the throttle cable and the oil pump cable run through the air box?

On the 98 models yes. Not sure on 99 but 00 and up they are re-routed around the air box.

'99 had throttle cable run thru the center of the airbox, as well as the oil pump cable. i know that's how my '99 was.
