I need some welding done on a 06 Vector suspension rails. It seems
that 2 of the mounting holes for the suspension wheels has greatly
enlarged. I would like to fill the holes completely up & then re-drill
new holes in the same spot. Are you able to weld this alum.

I wanna order some for alum and steel.Looks like the perfect way to mend things.Wicked strength.Imagine fixing anything alum. on your sleds..exchangers,running boards, etc. They sell a small package for beginners to try..I really like the idea to.

I've seen this stuff before, I've never used it, but have used a similar product from Johnson Manufacturing. I don't have a web address for them though, I do have the rods and flux in my shop and can look at it latter and give you the contact info. It works well. I've also used some rods from Benzomatic that are a softer alloy with a lower melting point, that also works well. In fact it work better for my heat exchanger, than the harder rod. The Benzomatic stuff was right at the hardware store.
If you do a search for Alumabraze here on the site there should be some posts about it.

trueblue- yes you can weld that no problem, i tig weld and re-drill oblonged holes on at least 50 skid rails every year for people in my area. any welding or machine shop in your area should be able to hook you up.
