My SRX is leaking oil. From where I don't know yet. I went up this weekend and it's been sitting f or a couple of months. There was a huge pile of Amsoil under it. Dripping out of the belly pan, streaks of it on the rt foot well. Could I have had a hose go bad? I didn't really get under the hood. I probably have to pull the seat and gas tank off to see much on the back side as I have a relocated oil tank with my reverse.
Any tips?
Any tips?
Would check out oil tank for cracks and hoses for loose connections or cracked hoses.... hope thats it .....
It's got to be something on that side. Too bad nothing is easy. Those pipes and reverse really jam everything together.
When tanks crack, it's usually at the mounting points....
I'll check there first. I know I was using oil. Smoke, smell, etc so I didn't think a hose would be the culprit. Tank makes some sense.

I had a similar experience two years ago...it was the oil pump that rattled loose from the block and the hose connection came loose here...spilling oil all over...I didn't see it until it was too late... lost the third cylinder from leaning out....have a GOOD look. Yamaha dealer said it was because I added a 2 inch riser and the cables pulled it out....I'm not convinced that was the issue, but????
