Carpet Tracks

Can anyone tell me if they still use carpet tracks for speed runs? I have one on a sled I just purchased and am going to a rubber speed track. I just want to know if I should bother to try selling it or scrap it.

Yes, they are still running them, but can only use them in the prostock or mod classes.

I have a near new asphalt track(maybe 15 passes) 128" x 10.5" I live in ontario and can ship anywhere. $350 cad plus actual shipping.

Nope. They're only 1/4" thick......hence the 17 lbs.
