Can someone offer some opinions on either the Roko or the Scott quick strap system? How do they stand up to use and the cold temps?Do the sticky pads stand up well to the cold as well as the pull of the straps?I know they are supposed to but often times in the real world things don't always stand up as well as they do in lab testing.

speaking for the scotts, they hold up well in my experience. never an issue with sticking. make sure they are where you want them prior to final adhesion, or you will be looking for replacements. key is in the prep work, prep the area waaaay larger than the strap pads. make sure and use the alcohol pads supplied, or find your own. they work well. enjoy.

My riding group has had BAD luck with the pads not sticking in cold (-20c) temps. I keep 4 pair of goggles on me to meet changing conditions, so I don't bother with the quick straps, and I can always lend a pair to anyone who needs them.
I have had good luck with Scott products! As mentioned above prep is the key.

I have used the Roko Quik Straps for years because they last so well, cold or warm. I highly recommend them; My family and use these exclusively for many years.

I use the Scott Quickstraps and they work great.
If you stick them onto a clean surface, they will stay on!

i have been using the quickstrap brand for about 8 years, and have only had a sticky come off one time. i ride 2-4000 miles a year on at least 6 different helmets and only once have i had an issue. i keep a "Remount kit" in my pack just incase but have not had to use it but once. you must use the alchohol prep pads and thoroughly clean the helmet or they wont stick. i have even used a heat gun and then re-applied a sticky once because a friend didn't have the mounts on his helmet and it still held up! great product and for 20 bucks you cant go wrong...if you are really worried about it just buy a remount kit and store it in your pack

Awesome guys thanks for all the info,I had only one chance to use my new helmet and goggles last winter and from that one day of riding I can already tell that I think a set of the quick straps will be much easier to use.

a little trick to practice with the quick straps is the reverse around the helmet stick. practice by removing the velcro side and wrap the goggles around the backside of the helmet returning to the velcro pad. keeps them out of the way and the inside of the goggles facing the helmet to keep snow out when taking breaks or digging out your buddies. this greatly reduces the moisture that causes fogging.
