I Have A '98 Srx And A '00 Sxr
Before I Sell The Sxr I Want To Know If I Should Swop Any Suspension Parts Into My Srx?
Do I Have To Change Everything Or Can I Just Change The Rear Shocks To Get A Better Ride Out Of The Srx Or ?
Any Advise Would Be Great

Thanks

I think you would have to swap out the transfer rods, shocks and limiter straps for it to work, but I'm not sure.

if you are going to swap just ther rear you need to change the shocks, limiter straps and transfer rods. However, you aren't going to get the full benefit if you don't do the front shocks as well. To do this you need to take the upper shock mount brackets out of your SRX and then pull the bulkhead bushing out of your SXR and put them in the SRX. The shocks on your SXR have the upper clevis mount instead of the eyelet mount of your SRX. After changing this stuff out the SXR shocks should bolt right in but, you are going to have to reset your toe-out after you get your ride height set.

Yep - sounds like he wants to make the SRX ride and handle like the SXR so the SXR would end up the short travel sled. Kinda tough to sell a long travel SXR when you have made it a short travel sled by doing this swap though.

you dont need to swap transfer rods, they are diffrent lengths but there are 2 holes for 2 diffrent mouinting locations. cant remember caus i had allt of parts floating around but i thought the original limiters were able to be let out enough also, since they are usually shortened up anyways. but it is also true about doing the front as well, it wont handle right until the front matches th rear. when i did mine i rode it for a year before i did the front and i didnt like to steer, had alot of weight transfer though(what a wheely machine). i also think it would be hard to sell a short traveled sxr, mite as well sell it the way it is and get some shocks for your srx, if you got used of ebay or another ty member or something used you could probably do it for a few hundred bucks. Mills is also right about the mounts on the front shocks, and the tow-out (dont forget the camber of the spindles too, have to adjust radius rods for that). good luck
